    hello sir can the blade be touching the copper, and can the heat be somewhat regulated by the distance the steel is from the copper? THANKYOU

    • @craighashimoto6259
      @craighashimoto6259 6 років тому

      Happy New Year STIZEN9.... my apologies for the delayed response. 1. when you touch any metal you are heating to the copper tube the induction forge will automatically shut down and you will need to restart. Some folks will put a high heat not conductive sleeve on the tube to prevent this. It's not really a problem to restart and a steady hand will prevent it from touching. 2. you can regulate it by distance but it is much easier to regulate it by changing the settings on the machine. there are settings for duration and power. Hope that helps. Take Care and God Bless!

    Well, you did a half of a video on making a crook knife sheath, it reminded me of a video on frying an egg where you only show the fried egg lying on a plate. This would have been a really good learning tool for those who would have liked to make their own but you didn't give nearly enough information about the supplies used, the actual procedure of shaping the kydex and/or using the kydex for a liner and covering it with thin leather. Having used both materials before, I understood the basics of what you were trying to tell your viewers but it was far from a video teaching someone HOW to build a sheath from kydex if they had never worked with the material before.

    No Worries... That's a great question!... there is no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to safety. This unit came with the normal instructions... one thing for sure was that if you have a pacemaker that you should not be near the machine when it is in operation. I don't know exactly why but I always ask when I am showing someone. Thanks for the question Tommy!

  • @Tommykee999

    sorry if this sounds stupid but is this dangerous by itself if you put your body near the coil

    LOL... Thanks Lebomm... This video was done for a little girl who was 4 years old at the time and I wanted to explain how it was done so she could follow along and understand it. I sent some clay along with the cross and the different stages.... so she could make here own out of clay as she watched the video... She really like it a lot. I still make these and I let folks know about this video as many wonder how they are made.... Emma is happy that she and her Cross is on UA-cam. Thanks again for the comment....
